Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK), Moh. Mahfud MD received a visit from the editor of the newspaper Jawa Pos, Thursday (27/12). One of the Jawa Pos editor presented in this meeting was the Jakarta Bureau Chief Jawa Pos, Ibn Yunianto said attendance this time just to share with Mahfud while discussing current events. The meeting held in the office of Mahfud was brief. Both Mahfud and Jawa Pos exchanged information about various things. One of the issues they discussed was the settlement in the Constitutional Court in 2012. Mahfud openly revealed that this year the Court "leaves" 81 cases to date to all the constitutional authority to which it aspires. The figure was impressed a lot, but really is not. The problem, Mahfud, who entered this year’s, cases as much as 288 cases plus the rest of the case last year a total of 61 cases. "The rest of the cases this year is better than last year because this year the incoming matter anymore," said Mahfud.
Of these matters, the Court has decided 207 cases. Recorded 42 cases granted, 89 denied cases, 60 cases are not acceptable, and 13 cases withdrawn. "For Testing Act there are 118 cases were registered this year and the remaining 51 cases the previous year. Of that number that has been disconnected there were 97 cases. It characterizes many people who do not like or less satisfied with a law that they propose to be reviewed," said Mahfud.
